On Chigger Hill

I've been very creative lately. I guess you can tell. This new kit is really a revamped oldie. There's a story behind the name and the name of my blog if anyone cares to read it.
My Daddy and Mama lived in the country and my dad always called the place chigger hill. He said you would get eat up with them just walking in from your car. I recall a few chigger bites in my time but never as bad as he thought they were. I can remember him sitting at the table putting his homemade chigger cure all over his legs. Imagine smearing lard and salt all over you. He swore by it though. I sure miss them both. Oh, by the way, I still visit chigger hill from time to time. I inherited it and my youngest daughter now lives there.
So....This new kit is called Chigger Hill because what I remember most growing up there was the beautiful flowers my grandmother planted, (they still bloom), and my sister and I catching all kinds of critters.
I hope you enjoy Chigger Hill as much as I enjoyed making it. It's been added to the Feburary Membership Folder.

As you can see on the right I have added a new membership club. The Doodle Membership Club will be for members who wish to make their own kits. It will include doodles, overlays, and some grayscaled emblishments that you can use to make kits for yourself or to sell. Below is a sample of the doodles that will be in the Febuary kit. You can buy now if you wish. I'm uploading the doodles now and will have the e-mails sent out by the morning. This club membership is separate from the kit membership and will in no way have an effect on it. I will continue to make kits as before. Sisters are there!

I got this in my email and thought I would share. It really does ring true. I have three sisters whom I have always been close to but after losing both our parents we have become closer than we were.

A young wife sat on a sofa on a hot humid day, drinking iced tea and visiting with her Mother. As they talked about life, about marriage, about the responsibilities of life and the obligations of adulthood, the mother clinked the ice cubes in her glass thoughtfully and turned a clear, sober glance upon her daughter

"Don't forget your Sisters," she advised, swirling the tea leaves to the bottom of her glass. "They'll be more important as you get older. No matter how much you love your husband, no matter how much you love the children you may have, you are still going to need Sisters. Remember to go places with them now and then; do things with them."

"Remember that 'Sisters' means ALL the women... your girlfriends, your daughters, and all your other women relatives too. You'll need other women. Women always do."

What a funny piece of advice! the young woman thought. Haven't I just gotten married? Haven't I just joined the couple-world? I'm now a married woman, for goodness sake! A grownup! Surely my husband and the family we may start will be all I need to make my life worthwhile!

But she listened to her Mother. She kept contact with her Sisters and made more women friends each year. As the years tumbled by, one after another, she gradually came to understand that her Mom really knew what she was talking about. As time and nature work their changes and their mysteries upon a woman, Sisters are the mainstays of her life.

After more than 50 years of living in this world, here is what I've learned:

Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
BUT.........

Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.

When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on, praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end.

Sometimes, they will even break the rules and walk beside you...Or come in and carry you out. Girlfriends, daughters, granddaughters, daughters-in-law, sisters, sisters-in-law, Mothers, Grandmothers, aunties, nieces, cousins, and extended family, all bless our life!

The world wouldn't be the same without women, and neither would I. When we began this adventure called womanhood, we had no idea of the incredible joys or sorrows that lay ahead. Nor did we know how much we would need each other.

Every day, we need each other still. Pass this on to all the women who help make your life meaningful. I just did. Short and very sweet:

There are more than twenty angels in this world. Ten are peacefully sleeping on clouds. Nine are playing. And one is reading her email at this moment.

CT Information: I’m looking for 4 people who can support me in my designing work. I need lots of layouts so I am looking for a minimum of 2 per kit. I make lots of kits, sometimes as many as two a week. Layouts must be posted to at least 3 online galleries or your blog and two online galleries with proper credit given. They also should be sent to me for posting on my blog. In return you will recieve my kits for free. So if you are interested in applying here is what you need to do. Other teams you are on or have been on. 4. Anything else you wish me to know. The call is open until I have a full team.

Membership Changes and good news

I have been so overwhelmed (and thankful) with the response to my membership club that I have had to make a few changes.

Those that are already members these changes will not change for you, your membership will continue as before.

Starting today I will make the kits available by months.

That way all kits can be downloaded by that one password and I won't be spending so much time sending the password to everyone each time a new kit is added.

I will just post the preview here and you will know that a new one has been uploaded. The prices for the kits will be different as well starting today. I am working on getting all this set up so please be patient.

I have been asked to add a 1 month membership so that will be done.

For the good news I have now uploaded Color My World and the members should have their passwords in the mail.

I will continue to accept memberships for this 1st 6 months until December 31st. Membership will then be closed until May when the second membership pack will start. All kits from this first membership package will be removed by May 31st. I'm working on two new kits for the members and there will be freebies for everyone to download. The first kit I'm working on is the Christmas kit and the second one is a pirate kit for the boys. I'm having fun using atomic cupcakes new action. Starting December 1 I will be starting a membership. It will be for 6 months and the cost will be $5.00. My kits will remain up for download only for that 6 months. They will then be for sale at a monthly cost at a much higher price. You will get at least 1 kit a month, sometimes more. That is less than a dollar a kit. I feel this is fair because it takes a great deal of time to make these kits. Most of my kits have elements that are drawn and colored or scanned and colored. This coloring takes forever! I will still offer an occasional freebie from the kits, it will be seperate from anything in the kit. I will be adding a buy now button soon. If you wish to join before December 1st you may and I will e-mail you the password as soon as the first kit is ready for download. As a special treat there will be three kits to download to begin the membership. It will be the Circus kit, the Dance kit (see sneek peek below), and the Something Fishy Kit.
